Where screenwriters are discovered and films are made

ABOUT US

The Inhabitant

TV Stations is a Texas-based tech company founded in 2000 to support independent filmmakers and screenwriters. After seeing friends struggle to get their scripts read in the late ’90s, we realized the Internet could open doors in a closed industry. Starting from a small townhouse, we built a platform that connected writers with producers. By 2002, the first movie from our site was released. Since then, over 400 films have been made, 300+ writers gained representation, and thousands have had scripts optioned or landed writing jobs. Today, our growing team continues to empower creative voices in film.

OUR VISION

TV Stations is a Tera based tech company dedicated to the democratization and success of independent filmmaking.

OUR MISSION

Despite our humble beginnings, we were determined to simplify the industry experience for writers and filmmakers.

OUR MOTTO

It all started in the late 90s. We saw our friends struggle to sell their screenplays, and most of them couldn’t even get their scripts read.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS ON THE JOURNEY

Understanding the Bigger Problem

It wasn’t just writers—independent filmmakers were also suffering. With limited access and few opportunities, creative voices were being silenced simply because they lacked industry connections.
